Taming That Wild Puppy

You bought that cute puppy in the window, but now has it become more than a handful. Have you waited to long to try to tame that puppy you have. Well, do not worry about it as we have some tips to help you tame it down and make living with him or her much more bearable.

Many times people see a cute puppy and tend to forget if you give them no formal training they will just get worse and worse and eventually most people tie them to a doghouse outside. We do not want that to happen so let's get started in taming that puppy.

One of the first things you must show your puppy is who the boss is. Many times we are afraid to give a puppy a tap on the butt to show it did something wrong. This is probably the number one mistake we make.

Just like you must discipline your kids for doing wrong a puppy is no different. Just remember a puppy doesn't know any better unless you teach them. They are on the impression nothing is wrong and that why training is so important.

People are very busy these days and finding time to train your new puppy gets tougher and that is understandable. A good tip is after work take a walk with your puppy using a leash. It will give you time to bond better with your puppy and the exercise will do the puppy good. You will be surprised how much better the puppy starts acting after a few walks under his or her belt.

Puppies like affection and like kids really do want to make you happy. Many times they go about it the wrong way. This is why getting training in is very important especially when they reach the out of control stage. Try these tips and in no time you will have a great puppy you can be proud of.
